TRINITY, Texas – The Iowa State men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Big 12 Championship Wednesday afternoon. The team tallied a 900 three-round total with rounds of 304-302-294.
Oklahoma won the tournament over Oklahoma State by two shots.
Nate Vance was the Cyclones lowest scorer with a 217 (75-71-71) three-round total. Vance recorded 10 birdies and an eagle this week to push him into the Top 15 in the medalist race.
Senior Lachlan Barker and freshman Luke Gutschewski concluded their week in a tie for 33rd place at 11-over par.
Lukas Pany carded a 73 with 15 pars in the final round. Pany subbed in for Josh Hetherington, who played the first two rounds.
Ricky Costello finished in 44th place in the individual standings.
The Cyclones regular season has come to an end. The team will wait for the NCAA Regional participant announcement on Wednesday, May 4th at 3 p.m. CT on GOLF Channel (College Central).
