AMES, Iowa – The 2022-23 Iowa State swimming and diving schedule was announced on Friday, with the slate featuring eight dual meets, three of them at home in Beyer Pool along with a regular season invitational meet for the swimmers and three for the divers.
The regular season will begin for the Cyclones on Friday, October 14 at Nebraska, with the Cyclones opening the home campaign on Saturday, Oct. 22 against South Dakota State and then having another home dual on Friday, Oct. 28 against South Dakota.
The invitational meets then kick in, with the regular pre-Thanksgiving trip to Missouri for the divers on Nov. 16-18 and to Topeka, Kansas for the swimmers on Nov. 18-20. The divers will resume the schedule post-Thanksgiving at Iowa's Diving Invitational on Dec. 3. Then it is back to Iowa City on Friday, Dec. 9 for the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series meeting with the Hawkeyes.
The divers will begin 2023 competition on the first week of January with the Georgia Diving Invitational. The whole team will be back together on Saturday, Jan. 21 for ISU's final home meet, a double dual meet against West Virginia and UNI. The Cyclones then close the regular season with at trio of road dual meets, going to North Texas on Jan. 27, TCU on Jan. 28 and the annual two-day meet against Kansas on Feb. 3-4.
The 2023 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships will be hosted by Texas on Feb. 22-25. The NCAA Zone Diving Championships will be hosted by Minnesota on March 6-8, and the road leads to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at Tennessee on March 15-18.
