THINGS THAT FANS NEED TO KNOW
- Admission to ALL home matches are FREE of charge.
- ISU will host seven home matches this season.
- All home matches are on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. or Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
- Posters will be available in the Jacobson Athletic building for fans to stop in and grab within the next few weeks.
- The first home match of the season will be on Sept. 8th versus Iowa. The match will kick off the 2022-23 Cy-Hawk Series.
- On Sunday, Sept. 11th ISU will be recognizing any former or current military member during halftime. We invite anyone who has served in any branch of the U.S. Military to join us.
- There will be promotions, giveaways and recognitions at each of the seven home matches this season.

STATE OF THE PROGRAM
- Last season's five wins was the most since 2016.
- ISU earned a bid to the Big 12 Conference Postseason Tournament last season for the first time since 2018.
- Iowa State ended the 2021 season with a win over Kansas State and took #8 TCU to PK's in the first round of the Big 12 Conference Tournament where they eventually fell 3-2.
- The next victory at Cyclone Sports Complex will be the program's 100th victory at home.
- The Cyclones return five players who logged over 1,000 minutes a season ago.
- The 2022 squad will include five transfers and eight new freshmen.
FANNON FOCUS
- Head Coach Matt Fannon enters his third season at ISU.
- Fannon carries an 89-61-22 overall record as a head coach entering the season.
- Prior to ISU, Fannon was named the MAC Coach of the Year three times in a row at Bowling Green.
ROSTER RUNDOWN
Seniors
- Kenady Adams - Has played in 40 matches during her ISU career while logging over 2,400 total minutes on the pitch for the Cyclones.
- Maddie Brant - Transfer from Rutgers University. Tallied two points and a goal for the Scarlet Knights last season.
- Jada Colbert & Jasmine Colbert - Transferred from UAlbany. Scored a combined 12 goals and two assists last season for the Great Danes.
- Mira Emma - Started in all 17 matches a season ago. Led the Cyclones in goals and assists in 2021.
- Claudia Najera - Has started 47 matches for the Cyclones in her career. Najera has tallied over 1,000 minutes in two of her three seasons at ISU.
- Jordan Silkowitz - Touts an .809 save percentage which was fourth highest in the Big 12 amongst goalkeepers last season.
- Eva Steckelberg - Ames native. Made 15 starts for the Cyclones a season ago.
- Georgia Wimmer - Has appeared in eight matches for the Cyclones in her career.
Juniors
- Olivia Edwards - She has started 28 matches and has played over 1,600 minutes for the Cyclones in her career.
- Salomé Prat - Native of Tarbes, France. Transfer from High Point University.
- Hanna Reid - Transfer from Arkansas. Played in three matches for the Razorbacks in 2021.
- Schuyler Riese - Has appeared in 16 matches for ISU with over 300 minutes on the pitch.
- Hannah Shaw - Has tallied 99 minutes for the Cyclones in her career.
Sophomores
- Sadie Baich - Transfer from Arkansas.
- Chloe Broughton - Native of Rossendale, United Kingdom. Broughton has played with Manchester United for five years, most recently with their U21 program.
- Magdalena Keck - From Hoechst, Austria. Keck played in all 17 matches while logging 405 minutes on the pitch her freshman season.
- Leia Khairy - From Montreal, Quebec. Transferred from Saint Joseph's after her freshman season.
- Lauren McConnell - Started in 12 matches as a freshman. Collected two goals and two assists while tallying just under 1,000 minutes in her debut season.
- Morina Suter-Doerig - Collected 12 starts and played over 700 minutes in her rookie season for the Cyclones.
- Sydney Thomas - Appeared in eight games her freshman year.
Freshmen
- Jocelyn Bice - Norwalk, Iowa native. Holds the Norwalk High School record for most goals and assists in a single soccer season.
- Sarah Fleming - Des Moines, Iowa native. Tallied 24 goals and four assists in nine games as a senior at Theodore Roosevelt High School.
- Avery Gillahan - Four-year starter at goalkeeper for her club team (opted to play for her club team instead of high school team.) Her club team was one of 16 teams to make it to the ECNL national playoffs in 2021.
- Lauren Hernandez - From New Berlin, Wis. Named an All-American by United Soccer Coaches following the 2021 prep season. Scored over 30 goals and collected over 20 assists during her senior season at New Berlin Eisenhower High School.
- Jordyn Herrera - From Prosper, Texas. Tallied 15 goals and 12 assists as a senior in high school. Named First Team All-District and First Team All-Region as a prep senior.
- Avery Horner - Bettendorf, Iowa native. Named the female athlete of the year at Bettendorf High School her senior year. Named the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year for Women's Soccer in the state of Iowa.
- Femke Pietersma - From Gieten, Netherlands and a member of the Dutch national development team.
- Sophia Thomas - Muscatine, Iowa native. Recorded 84 career points and was named First team All-District, Region and State in 2021 for soccer.
SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
The Cyclones begin the season with two exhibition matches before hitting the road for their first five matches of the season. Stops include: Arizona, Memphis, Creighton, Michigan and Kentucky.
Arizona's 2021 record: 5-13
Memphis's 2021 record: 14-5-2 (AAC Tournament Champions, Lost to Duke in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.)
Creighton's 2021 record: 7-10-2
Michigan's 2021 record: 18-4-3 (Big 10 Tournament Champions, Lost to #9 Florida State in the NCAA Quarterfinals.)
Kentucky's 2021 record: 7-10-2
After five matches on the road, the Cyclones will be back in Ames for their final three non-conference matchups. Home non-conference matches will include: Iowa, South Dakota and Omaha.
Iowa's 2021 record: 12-6-2
South Dakota's 2021 record: 10-4-4
Omaha's 2021 record: 9-8-2
At the conclusion of the non-conference slate, the Cyclones will begin Big 12 play on September 22nd versus Kansas State. Iowa State will finish the season facing off against nine Big 12 foes while fighting to qualify for their second consecutive Big 12 Conference tournament berth. Only the top eight Big 12 teams make it to the conference tournament and ISU hasn't made the tournament in back-to-back years since 2005.
