Iowa State Battles Minnesota to 1-1 Tie in Exhibition Finale

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Iowa State women's soccer team tied its exhibition finale 1-1 with the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night.
The Cyclones recorded four shots in the match with three of those coming from Jasmine Colbert.
In the 35th minute, Salomé Prat netted the first Cyclone goal of the season before Minnesota found the back of the net to tie it up before halftime.
Iowa State was out-shot 8-1 by Minnesota in the second half, but strong play by Jordan Silkowitz and Avery Gillahan between the posts held the Gophers in check.
A total of twenty Cyclones tallied minutes during the match.

The Cyclones open the regular season Thursday, Aug. 18 at 9 p.m. (CT) with an away non-conference matchup against the Arizona Wildcats.Â
