TUCSON, Ariz. - Iowa State Soccer will travel to the desert to face the Arizona Wildcats in their regular season opener on Thursday. Thursday's match will be the third time that the Cyclones and Wildcats have battled each other. Each team has recorded a victory in the series with Thursday's matchup being the rubber match. Kickoff for Thursday's match is slated for 9 p.m. (CT) and can be streamed on Pac-12 Insider.
LAST TIME OUT
Last week, the Cyclones traveled north to the Twin Cities to face Minnesota for their final exhibition match. The Cyclones and Gophers battled to a 1-1 tie.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Arizona went 1-1 in exhibition play this season. The Wildcats picked up a 1-0 victory over the NAU Lumberjacks in their first exhibition match of the season and fell to the San Diego State Aztecs 2-1 in their final tune-up match of the season.
Arizona returns Senior goalkeeper Hope Hisey who notched over 1600 minutes between the posts a season ago. Fellow senior, Madison Goerlinger returns after a junior campaign where she made 15 starts, played over 1200 minutes, collected 18 shots with nine being on goal and tallied four assists.

The Cyclones will have a week to prepare before traveling to Memphis to face off against the Memphis Tigers on Thursday, Aug. 25. Kickoff is slated at 7 p.m.
