AMES, Iowa - The Cyclone Swimming & Diving team (0-0, 0-0 Big 12) begins the regular season at home against the Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-0, 0-0 Big Ten) on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Beyer Pool. Iowa State will welcome Nebraska for the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs.
THE OPPONENT: Nebraska
Iowa State holds an all-time record of 6-41-1 against Nebraska. The last victory came in 2003 where Iowa State won 163-126 in Ames. 2022 saw a close meet between the two programs in Lincoln that ended with Nebraska winning 151-149. Nebraska will participate in a double-dual meet against Minnesota and South Dakota this Friday at 5 p.m. in Minneapolis before heading to Ames for Saturday morning's dual against the Cyclones.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Sprint Free and Freestyle Relay
Iowa State had a lot of success in the 50 and 100 free events against Nebraska in 2022. Carley Caughron and Andie Quirke placed first and second respectively in the 50 free while Caughron also placed first in the 100 free, beating Nebraska's Giulia Marchi by .3 seconds with a time of 51.87. The Cyclones also saw success in the 400 freestyle relay where a team of Caughron, Ashley Bengtson, Sophia Goushchina, and Brinley Horras placed first and beat the closest Cornhusker team by over four seconds.

Iowa State will travel to South Dakota to take on the Coyotes on Friday Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. in Vermillion.
