AMES, Iowa -Â No. 10 Iowa State returns to Humboldt High School, the home of head coach Kevin Dresser, for the third season in a row. The Cyclones will take on No. 18 Wisconsin Sunday at 2 p.m. in a rematch from last season in which ISU prevailed, 26-6.
ISU will also send a contingent of 14 wrestlers, competing attached and unattached, to the Daktronics Open Sunday in Brookings, S.D. Details on that tournament can be seen at the end of this story.

Dresser returns to his high school stomping grounds in Humboldt where he won a pair of Iowa high school state titles in 1980 and 1981. Iowa State is 2-0 inside Humboldt High School. The Cyclones defeated Purdue in their first appearance in the venue and, last year, knocked off NAIA powerhouse Grand View.Â

NOTABLE
- Iowa State defeated Davidson, 50-0, its last time on the mat. All 10 Cyclones won with bonus points (6 TF, 2 WBF, 2 MD). ISU did not allow a takedown in the dual, winning the takedown battle, 43-0.
- Casey Swiderski is projected to make his season debut Sunday against the Badgers at 149 pounds. He's poised for a rematch against Wisconsin's No. 14 Joseph Zargo, who he defeated, 10-6, a year ago.
- Kysen Terukina has a top-10 opponent Sunday in No. 6 Eric Barnett. Terukina knocked off the highly-rated Badger, 9-7, in sudden victory last year. The Cyclone is 3-2 against top-10 foes over the last three seasons.
- The featured bout of the dual will be between No. 2 David Carr and No. 4 Dean Hamiti. Carr, a four-time All-American and 2021 national champion, will see his first real test of the season in Hamiti, a two-time All-American who finished sixth at last year's NCAA Championships. The pair met once last season with Carr grinding out a 7-5 victory.
- Cody Chittum made his highly anticipated Cyclone debut Sunday against Davidson. He earned a 13-3 major decision over Tanner Peake, who represented Puerto Rico on its U20 World Team, in a hard-fought bout.
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Sunday's dual is a rematch from last season with these two teams met on the first weekend of the regular season.
Iowa State took eight of 10 matches from then No. 12 Wisconsin in a 26-6 victory over the Badgers. Cyclone wrestlers defeated all five of Wisconsin's returning All-Americans and opened the dual with four consecutive wins against Badgers ranked inside the top 15.
