AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will return to the NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship after being selected Sunday night. ISU earned the No. 7 seed and will take on Hawaii (23-8) this Thursday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. CT.
The No. 2 Seed, Oregon, will host the first and second rounds in Eugene. The winner will move on to play Oregon or Southeastern Louisiana at 9 p.m. on Dec. 1.
ISU will make the 17th trip in program history to the tournament, with 16 happening under head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch.
Iowa State concluded regular season with a record of 20-9 overall and 11-7 in conference to finish fourth in the Big 12 standings. The Cyclones total the eighth 20-win season under Johnson-Lynch and the first since 2017 with 20 regular season victories. ISU also cemented three Top-25 victories in 2023; vs. No. 14 Kansas, vs. No. 18 Baylor and at No. 21 Houston.
