AMES, Iowa - Miska Kadleckova has been named the Cyclone Club Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts in a historic week for Cyclone tennis at the ITA National Indoor Championships. Kadleckova was 3-0 on the weekend in singles action, including two wins against ranked opponents, and helped ISU to a semifinal appearance in the prestigious tournament.
In the quarterfinals, No. 14 Iowa State matched up against top-ranked and two-time defending national champions Texas. With Iowa State holding a 3-1 lead in the match, No. 123 Kadleckova pushed the Cyclones through to the semifinals with a win over No. 69 Malaika Rapolu, 6-3, 6-3. Her win clinched the victory over Texas for the first time in school history and was the highest ranked win in the program's history.
