When: Friday, Feb. 24 - Saturday, Feb. 25
The Lead: After going 4-1 in the Fresno State Kickoff Classic last weekend, the Iowa State softball team will travel to Tempe, Arizona for a three-game series against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Iowa State will play one game on Friday and a doubleheader against ASU on Saturday before returning home.
Storylines:
Last weekend, Mikayla Ramos passed Alex Johnson (2007-10) for the third-most RBIs in program history. Ramos now has 136 career RBIs and just 14 RBIs shy of becoming Iowa State's all-time leader in RBIs. Erica Miller (2010-13) is currently ISU's all-time RBI leader with 149 career RBIs.
Karlie Charles was named the Most Outstanding Pitcher after the Fresno State kickoff Classic Tournament last weekend. Charles totaled 10.2 innings pitched, she only gave up six hits and one walk. Charles did not surrender a run and tallied 10 strikeouts.
Head coach Jamie Pinkerton is 11 wins shy of eclipsing his 150th win as ISU's head coach. Additionally, Pinkerton is 11 wins shy of his 500th career victory as a head coach.

Switching Sides:
Arizona State is 8-2 through its first 10 games this season.
ASU received 82 Top-25 votes in this week's NFCA Poll.
The Sun Devil's lead the overall series 10-4 against the Cyclones.
ISU last faced ASU in 2021. In 2021, Arizona State defeated ISU 8-3 in Tempe.
