Duckworth Named Preseason All-Big 12

AMES, Iowa – Maya Duckworth earned a spot on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the league announced Tuesday.
The sophomore earns the first Preseason All-Big 12 honor of her career after an outstanding freshman season that saw Duckworth earn Second Team All-Big 12 and a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 Rookie Team. Duckworth became the first freshman in ISU history to earn AVCA All-Region First Team honors while also being named Midwest Region Freshman of the Year.
Duckworth totaled 311 kills, 196 digs, 58 blocks and 22 aces in 2022. Duckworth returns to the court to begin her sophomore campaign Saturday, August 12 for the Cardinal and Gold scrimmage at Hilton.
