In sports, a loan means when a player is permitted to play for another team/club/program other than the one they are currently contracted with. It's a practice that is commonly used to help get experience for young prospects.
Silkowitz is expected to return to the Current following her loan with the Roar.
Silkowitz totaled 234 saves as a Cyclone and her 1.44 goals-against average is the third lowest in program history. In just three seasons as a Cyclone, Silkowitz totaled 10 shutouts – good enough for the third-most in school annals.
