Strong Fall In The Classroom For Cyclone Student-Athletes

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State student-athletes recently completed a successful fall both in competition and in the classroom.
Iowa State had 16 of its 18 sports post a GPA above 3.0 and student-athletes averaged a semester GPA of 3.28. A total of 52 student-athletes posted a 4.00 semester GPA, while 188 student-athletes were named to the Dean's list.
In total, 74 percent of student-athletes had a 3.0 semester GPA or higher in the fall of 2023.
In their respective sports, the Cyclone football team reached a bowl game, volleyball reached its 17th NCAA Tournament, women's cross country recorded a Top-20 finish and men's cross country earned a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The Cyclone soccer program won its most matches, as well as conference matches, since 2016.
