Crooks Named Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa – Audi Crooks has been named the Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week after leading Iowa State women's basketball to wins over No. 24 West Virginia and No. 4 Baylor last week.
Crooks became the first Iowa State freshman to earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors after she averaged 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and shot 57.6 percent from the floor across the two games.
The Algona, Iowa native posted the second double-double of her career, tallying 22 points and 11 boards, in a 74-64 comeback win over the Mountaineers.
In a 66-63 victory over Baylor, Crooks tied her career best of 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting (62.5 percent). Crooks scored the go-ahead bucket on a feed from Addy Brown with 24 seconds left in the game.
New to the AP Top 25, No. 24 Iowa State travels to Texas Tech on Wednesday. The matchup with the Lady Raiders is set to tip off at 6:00 p.m. in Lubbock.
