PROVO, Utah – Iowa State (10-4, 3-0 Big 12) remained unbeaten in conference with the 80-75 victory over BYU (10-6, 0-3 Big 12) while Head Coach Bill Fennelly sealed his 600th career victory at Iowa State.

After committing 10 turnovers in the first half, ISU was able to keep within three of the home team at the half. The Cyclones used a second-half push to take back the lead in the third and hold onto it. Iowa State totaled 12 3-pointers, the sixth total and second straight game for the Cyclones to total 10 or more.

Addy Brown tied both her career highs of points with a game-leading 24 points and four 3-pointers. Arianna Jackson had a career night, bringing in new career highs in 3-pointers (four) and points (17).

Audi Crooks came away with her 13th-straight 10-plus point game with 13 points while Emily Ryan totaled 11, with nine in the fourth quarter, and Hannah Belanger 10 for five in double figures.

How it Happened

Iowa State missed the game-opening 3-pointer, but Crooks grabbed the rebound and Jackson sunk the second-chance triple to put ISU on the board first. BYU then got its first lead at 6-5 but Iowa State took it right back with a Belanger shot from deep. The close action continued, while Jackson knocked down another 3 to keep ISU up 11-8 with 5:31 to go in the first. Out of the media timeout, the Cougars took an 8-0 run to go ahead 16-11, but the Cyclones responded with a run of their own of nine to end the quarter up 20-16.

BYU would go on to tie the game at 22 with 6:45 left of the half. The back-and-forth action continued, and after another tie of 26-26 the Cougars would find a four-point edge of 30-26 after ISU committed its eighth turnover with 3:04 to go. Iowa State would come back to knot the score at 30, but a 3-pointer by BYU would give the home team the halftime lead.

BYU began the half taking an eight-point lead of 38-30, but Jackson began a run with her third shot from beyond the arc. Brown then hit a jumper to join Jackson in double figures and come within three. With BYU leading 43-35, Jackson would send in another from deep to match her career high while Crooks followed with the layup to stop the Cougars' run. Iowa State's seventh 3-pointer, this one by Kelsey Joens, would pull ISU within two at 45-43 with 4:26 on the clock. The two sides would trade 3-point makes, including two by Brown as the scoreboard was brought to 51-49 with BYU ahead. Jackson went on to get ISU back in front by 53-51 with her fifth 3-pointer with 40 seconds in the third. Crooks extended the run to 9-0 with two free throws to end the third up 55-51.

ISU remained up, making it a seven-point advantage after a Belanger triple at 6:34 in the final frame. Ryan kept it going with a layup to make it a run of seven. Two Ryan free throws then gave ISU a double figure lead at 72-62 with just over three minutes remaining. Brown continued her dominance putting in another from deep as ISU went up 78-71 with 37 seconds to go. ISU held on to seal the 80-75 victory.

Top Performances

Addy Brown shot at 9-of-16 from the field and 4-of-7 from deep as she totaled 24 points for her 12th 10-plus point game. Brown also had eight rebounds and three assists.

Arianna Jackson had a career night with all-time highs of 17 points and five triples. Jackson put up eight or more points in the first and third quarters as the freshman totaled 17 points in 25 minutes of play.

Head coach Bill Fennelly improved his career record to 766-358, picking up his 600^th career win at Iowa State. His Iowa State record moves to 600-305 overall and 1-1 against BYU.
With Arianna Jackson's first 3-pointer, Iowa State has now recorded a triple in an NCAA women's basketball record 908 consecutive games.
