INSIDE THE SERIES
The Cyclones and Dutch met seven times from 1975-1979, and Iowa State came away with wins in five contests.
FOUR THINGS
2 – Iowa State had two players named to the Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Watchlist earlier this week. Audi Crooks and Emily Ryan were two of 50 women's collegiate basketball players selected to the watchlist.
6 – ISU returns six players from the 2023-24 roster and added six new faces to make up this season's squad.
8 – The Cyclones enter the 2024-25 season ranked No. 8 in the AP preseason poll, the fifth time with a top 10 preseason ranking and the 11th time in program history they have appeared in the poll.
920 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA-record 920 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.
LAST SEASON
The young Cyclones exceeded expectations a season ago, returning to the Big 12 Championship game despite returning less than 25 percent of its minutes from the 2023 title team. The run continued in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as Iowa State came back from down 20 with less than two minutes to play in the first half to knock off No. 10-seed Maryland, 93-86. Audi Crooks became a household name overnight after pouring in 40 points on 18-of-20 shooting from the floor while Emily Ryan tallied 14 assists in the second-largest comeback in tournament history.
