Miles Greig Announces Seven Signees

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State Gymnastics coach Ashley Miles Greig has announced the addition of seven new freshmen for the 2025-26 school year. The seven include Ale Alvarez, Gaby Alvarez, Jill Fisher, Peyton Nock, Ella Roberts, Taylor Sanders and Finn Weldon.
The incoming class has representatives from Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, New York and Texas.
"Cyclone Nation can expect big things from the signing class of 2025," said Miles Greig. "We are excited to have seven talented new faces committed to Iowa State and eager to contribute to the athletic and academic success of our program. Every individual in this class brings something unique and collectively will elevate the level of gymnastics in all four events."
Ale Alvarez | St. Augustine, Florida | Intends to Major in Architecture

Gaby Alvarez | St. Augustine, Fla. | Intends to Major in Kinesiology

- Earned second at Level 9 State Meet on Floor ('21)
- Was first at Level 9 Regionals on Beam ('21)
- Finished fourth in All-Around Level 9 Easterns ('21)
- Was second at Level 10 State Meet on Beam and Floor ('22)
Jill Fisher | Winter Springs, Florida | Intends to Major in Kinesiology

Peyton Nock | Rosemount, Minn. | Intends to Major in Criminal Justice and Aviation

Ella Roberts | Loudonville, N.Y.| Intends to Major in Biology on the Pre-Med Track

- World Class Gymnastics Academy Team Leadership Award Winner ('23 & '24)
- 2022 New York State Vault Champion
- 4-time Level 10 Regional Qualifier and Competitor
Taylor Sanders | Johnston, Iowa | Intends to Major in Kinesiology and Health

- Two-time team captain
