DENVER, Colo. - Iowa State (2-7, 0-2 Big 12) fell to No. 17 Denver (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) Sunday evening. The Cyclones finished with 192.550, and Denver with 196.525.
Haylee Hardin continued her pattern of scoring 9.9s or higher this season on floor, with a 9.95. She tied her career high. ISU was without standout sophomore Fred for the final three events on Sunday after she was injured on bars. Junior Chloe Hammond replaced her in the lineups. Hammond secured a season high on beam with a score of 9.800.
"Very proud of the way this team finished this meet. With Fred, that was very uncharacteristic of her and that was challenging for our team afterwards. But I was so proud of the team after that, and I think we have a lot to be proud of today. You know, Haylee Hardin tied her career high, so I think she is going to get that 10.0 eventually. Overall, the team showed how tough they are today," said Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig.

Noelle Adams and Aubree Guinee tied for high scores on vault this evening. The junior/sophomore duo both tallied up scores of 9.825. That marks a new season high for Adams and a career high score for Guinee. Hardin was close behind with a score of 9.775.
