Masondo Named Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa - Sanele Masondo has been named the Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week after a strong performance at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.

Masondo cut over 13 seconds off his personal best in the 5000m with a time of 13:20.30, the second-best time in Iowa State history.

The Cyclones are back in action next week hosting the ISU Holiday Invite at Lied Recreation Dec. 13-14.

The Cyclone Club spearheads the fundraising efforts for the Iowa State Athletic department and gifts of all sizes directly impact the lives of over 450 student-athletes at Iowa State.
