Morgantown, W Va. – No. 24 Iowa State (4-5, 2-2 Big 12) placed 2nd in today's tri-meet against No. 7 Denver (11-2, 3-2 Big 12) and West Virginia (4-8, 0-3 Big 12).
"It was really cool to come into a great environment with the Beauty and the Beast as well as a tri-meet going on simultaneously. Unfortunately, this was not the result we were looking for, and we ended up facing some challenges today. We had to make some changes to the lineups. However, we still have an opportunity to find out what works for us and continue to build and get back to performing to our ability." Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig said.
Iowa State placed second in this Big 12 tri-meet with their score of 195.675. The Cyclones saw a new season high from Loganne Basuel who led the way on bars with a 9.875. Josie Bergstrom continues her consistent performances with her scoring two 9.825's.
Kaia Parker stood out for ISU this afternoon. She started her night on floor where her routine amassed a 9.85. She then followed that right up on the vault with her seeing a 9.825. Lauren Thomas continues to be steady on bars where the Cyclones got a 9.85 score from her.

Iowa State's third rotation came on vault. Emilie Hong tied her career high this afternoon with a 9.875. The Cyclones got two 9.825's first came by Kaia Parker then later Josie Bergstrom did the same.
