Cyclones Complete All-American

HUMBLE, Tex. - The Cyclones concluded the third and final round of the All-American ending the tournament in ninth place. The Cyclones' third round was their best of the tournament improving from their first and second round score of 298 by eight strokes.

No. 6 Texas Tech finished the tournament in first with a score of 871, beating Sam Houston by two strokes. Sam Houston's Bret Gray and No. 49 UNLV's Yuki Moriyama tied for first with a score of five-under-par.

Paul Beauvy improved his score each round for a three-round score of 220. Beauvy had ten birdies throughout all three rounds of the tournament. Luke Gutschewski ended one stroke behind Beauvy in a tie for 23rd. Freshman Owen Sawyer shot three-under in the third round of the tournament for a score of 69. Sawyer had two eagles and a birdie in the third round helping to improve his score from round two by 11 strokes.

Zach May concluded the tournament in a tie for 60th after improving his score from the second round by four strokes. Lukas Pany carded a three-round 230 with nine birdies through all three rounds.

Dianchao Wu competed as an individual in the All-American and ended in a three-way tie for 32nd. Wu had three birdies in the first round and one in both the second and third round.

The Cyclones will take a week off and resume their spring season at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Chandler, Ariz. on Monday, April 1 and play the final 18 holes of the tournament on Tuesday, April 2.
