BOSTON – Cam Jones kicked off NCAA Indoor Championships for the Cyclones in the weight throw Thursday night.
Jones hit a mark of 70-5 1/4 (21.47m) on his second throw to finalize 14th and secure Second Team All-America honors.

Jones becomes the first multi-time weight throw All-American in school history and earns the fourth total All-American honor for Iowa State. Jones placed 12th in the event at 2023 NCAA Indoor Nationals for second team honors.
Jones is back in action Saturday for the shot put as he is one of two men in the nation to double in the weight throw and shot put.
Iowa State continues competition at NCAA Championships tomorrow with five events on the slate.
