Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn in First After Day Two of Big 12 Championship

HOCKLEY, Texas - The Cyclonitas wrap up day two of the Big 12 Championship in third place with a score of 575. No. 11 Texas remains in first place with a two-round score of 569.

Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn is in first place following the second round of the tournament. Chul-Ak-Sorn improved her score by four strokes to card a second round 65 with seven birdies. Her second round of 65 will tie the record for lowest round at the Big 12 Championship.Liyana Durisic carded a second round 70 and is in third place. Durisic had three birdies in the second round for a two-round score of 139.

Tess Blair mirrored her first round score of 73 to end day two in a tie for 19th. Keeley Marx improved her score from the first round by six strokes with three birdies, two of them being on holes six and seven. Pammy Chookaew also mirrored her first round score of 81 to end in a tie for 63rd.

With their second round score of 283 the Cyclonitas tie No. 11 Texas for the lowest round of all teams in the field for the tournament. Iowa State's 283 in the second round was the lowest 18-hole score in a conference championship in school history, breaking the second round score of 285 set in 2011.

Due to forecasted weather on Saturday, a shotgun start format will be utilized at 8:15 a.m. Coverage of the final round will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ starting at 10 a.m. Ryan Burr and Suzy Whaley will be on the call.
