GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 36 Iowa State placed fourth in the Gainesville regional semifinal with a score of 196.575.
"What a way to end the season. This team proved how tough they are and how much grit that they have by going out there competing two days in a row as we fought to get here as a play in team. What we did out there was so amazing, and I could not be prouder of these girls. The future is bright." Head Coach Ashley Miles Greig said.
Iowa State finished its season with a very strong all-around meet, highlighted by a new season-high on beam with a 49.350. The Cyclones were led by Hannah Loyim and Josie Bergstrom's 9.9 scores. Rachel Wilke ended the season as a true force in both the beam and floor lineups, as the junior finished with a 9.85 on beam and a 9.875 on floor.
The Cyclones were able to accomplish their goal of making it to day two of regionals. They not only made it but put up one of their best scores of the season. They had amazing performances from many gymnasts. The seniors stepped up big today with Kaia Parker earning a 9.85 on beam and a 9.875 on floor. Both Loganne Basuel and Laura Cooke helped propel the bars score as they led the way on that event for ISU. Lauren Thomas had a 9.85 on from her final beam routine of her college career.
Vault (49.050)
ISU finished up the regional semifinal on vault. It rounded out a great meet with a solid performance on the event, as Kaia Parker and Noelle Adams led the way with 9.85 scores. Just behind them was Paige Wills and Josie Bergstrom who both scored 9.8s.

The Cyclones began the meet on bars for the second day in a row. In their final collegiate bar routines Laura Cooke and Loganne Basuel stepped up big. Cooke scored a 9.800 while Basuel earned a 9.85 to lead the team. Meanwhile, freshman Paige Wills followed up Thursday's score with another great performance scoring a 9.825 to tie her career high.

Beam (49.350)
This was a big event for the Cyclones, as Iowa State set a new season-high of 49.350. ISU was led by two 9.9 scores from both Hannah Loyim and Josie Bergstrom. Her 9.9 marked a new career high for Loyim. Rachel Wilke chipped in another amazing routine with a 9.875. As the anchor, Lauren Thomas finished her career with a 9.85 to help ISU round out a strong rotation.
