Durisic Named Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Iowa State senior Liyana Durisic has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month for April.Â
Durisic helped the Cyclones to a second-place finish at the Big 12 Women's Championship while she carded a season-low 207 to capture the Big 12 individual title with her teammate Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn. It marked the first time in Big 12 history that a pair of teammates stood together at the top of the standings and just the fourth time in league history that a team had the top two finishers in the standings. She began the month placing fifth at the Chevron Silverado Showdown, which was her second straight top 5 finish. The kinesiology and psychology senior possessed a 70.33 stroke average during the month and shot five out of six rounds at par or better. Durisic is the first Cyclone to earn the honor this season and is the second in two seasons.
