AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team is set to kick-off its fall season at multiple locations this weekend as they'll have players traveling to both Cary, North Carolina and Manhattan, Kansas for the ITA All-American Championships and K-State Invitational, respectively.
The Cyclones will look to start the year off strong in year two under head coach Jaron Maestas.
Senior returner Anna Supapitch Kuearum will be competing in the ITA All-American Championships after a strong junior campaign.
Kuearum spent the 2024 spring season playing at the No. 1 position and posted an impressive 10-9 overall singles record, becoming just the ninth player in school history to reach double-digit singles wins at the one spot. She also finished with a 6-5 conference record and three singles wins over ranked opponents.
Two returning players in Ashlee Narker and Valeska San Martin Ramirez are set to compete in Manhattan over the weekend, as well as a Top-20 ranked recruiting class that include freshmen Julia Camblor, Gabriela Felix, Mari Paz Alberto Vilar, Suzanie Pretorius and Cristina Ramos Sierra.
ITA All-American Championships
The tournament begins Saturday, Sept. 21 and lasts through Sunday, Sept. 29 in Cary, N.C.
This will mark Kuearum's second year in a row competing in the tournament after finishing 1-1 at last year's competition.
K-State Fall Invitational
The tournament will begin Friday, Sept. 20, and last through Sunday, Sept. 22. It will feature both singles and doubles action.
