Cyclones Finish Play At Drake

Ames, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team wrapped up play at the Drake Invite in Des Moines on Sunday, picking up one victory on the final day of the tournament.

Valeska San Martin Ramirez and Gabriella Kellner finished doubles play strong by defeating Lara Diaz Zayas and Regina Mendez from Eastern Michigan, 6-2. Kira Smith teamed up with EMU's Pehal Kharadkar for doubles Sunday but came up short in their lone match. Kellner and Smith both fell in their respective singles matches.

The Cyclones will be back in action on Thursday for the ITA Sectionals and Friday for the Baylor Invite.
