Dianchao Wu Leads the Cyclones After One Round at The Prestige at PGA West

LA QUINTA, California - After one round at The Prestige at PGA West, Dianchao Wu leads the Cyclones shooting two under-par. Wu ties his season-low round today (69) to help vault him up to a tie for fourteenth place, and racked up four birdies on the day. Iowa State as a team is in sixteenth place after carding a 289 (+5).

Following up a tournament victory at the N.I.T. a couple of weeks ago, Paul Beauvy was the only other Cyclone to shoot under-par, finishing with a 70 (-1), his tenth par or better round this season. Beauvy ended the day with three birdies and is currently tied for 24th. Luke Gutschewski finishes the day three over-par and is tied for 78th, while carding three birdies.

Luke Metcalf was the last round scored for the team, shooting five over-par and carding three birdies. Owen Sawyer finished the day six over-par.

#6 North Carolina is on top of the team leaderboard after round one, carding a 275 (-9). #3 David Ford (North Carolina), #77 Aiden Krafft (Oregon), and Kobe Valociek (Kansas State) are all tied for the individual lead, after shooting a 66 (-5) today.

The second round of The Prestige at PGA West will be played tomorrow, where Iowa State will tee off with the afternoon group, starting at 1 p.m. CT.
