Paul Beauvy Tied for Fifth as Cyclones Conclude Day One of N.I.T.

TUCSON, Arizona - Paul Beauvy is tied for fifth (-7) as the first day of the N.I.T. is wrapped up. Round one was completed in the afternoon, and there are 2-3 more holes to play for round two in the morning tomorrow for each team, before the final round tees off in the afternoon. The Cyclones are currently in ninth (288-239).

In just his second hole of the day, Beauvy scored his first eagle of the season and fifth of his career. He was tied for second place after round one, shooting a season-low 67. Beauvy finished the day with nine birdies, and tied for the best average on Par 3's in the tournament with 2.57.

Luke Gutschewski is currently in 35th (-1) and totaled seven birdies. Owen Sawyer is close behind, placing in 48th (+1) and had eight birdies on the day.

Zach May and Luke Metcalf both bounced back in the second round, sitting at one-under and even on the round, respectively. May (+4) is in 61st and carded five birdies. Metcalf (+7) is in 68th and has three birdies.

#36 BYU leads the team race with a score of 508 (270-238), and BYU's Peter Kim is in the individual lead, sitting eleven under par.

The final few holes of the second round will be played tomorrow morning followed by the final round teeing off at 2:00 CT.
