Cyclones Move up to Tenth After Day Two of the Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico— The Cyclones rounded out their second day at the Puerto Rico Classic, moving up two spots to finish the day tied for 10th. The Cyclones shot five strokes better than their previous day, shooting 291, totaling their combined days to a 587, which puts them 22 strokes behind the leader, Vanderbilt.
Alexandra Vidal led the Cyclones in round two, shooting a two-under 70 round, 11 strokes better than she did on her previous day. Vidal moved up to a tie for 73rd and put her score at seven over. Vidal also grabbed three birdies on her moving day. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn kept it rolling, shooting a one-under-71 round, moving her up to a tie for 15th, and putting her two-round total at even. Chul-Ak-Sorn also grabbed three birdies and took the Cyclone's only eagle on the day.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon did her thing, shooting a nice two-over round, putting her total score at even, and sticking with Chul-Ak-Sorn at a tie for 15th. Pammy Chookaew took the Cyclones' four spot today, shooting a four-over round to put her score at plus-four. Chookaew sits in a tie for 45th and looks to get back on track with one round remaining. Keeley Marx rounded out the Cyclones, finishing in 98th, shooting an eight-over round.
The Cyclones will look to finish strong with one round remaining. The Cyclones will tee off at 5:30 am to conclude the Puerto Rico Classic.
