Cyclones Finish in 11th at the Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico— The Cyclones concluded the final day at the Puerto Rico Classic, moving back one spot to finish in 11th. The Cyclones finished their three-day tournament at plus-18, scoring 882. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn led the Cyclones in the final round and finished in the Cyclones' top spot for the tournament. Chul-Ak Sorn finished in a tie for 11th and shot a smooth one-under round for her tournament. Chul-Ak-Sorn snagged her tournament high of five birdies on the day.
Pammy Chookaew and Nichakorn Pinprayoon tied for 39th, scoring plus five for the tournament. Chookaew shot a 73 on her final day while also grabbing four birdies. Pinprayoon finished her final round with a 77 to tie Chookaew for the Cyclone's second spot.
Alexandra Vidal had another stellar day, shooting a 74, which moved her up to a tie for 61st in the tournament. Vidal understood course management as she came away with a clean 16 pars with just two bogeys on her card today. Keeley Marx finished off the Cyclones, shooting an 80 on her final day to put her in 99th.
Arkansas was your tournament winner, shooting 15-under on their final day to come back and secure it. The Cyclone's next tournament will be the Chevron Collegiate, held in Houston, Texas, Feb 24-25th.
