AMES, Iowa – Rachel Joseph continues to add to her accolades as the junior was named the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
The award comes after Joseph picked up First Team All-America in the 400m placing fifth at NCAA Indoor Championships. It was her third All-America honor following earning Second Team nods in both indoor and outdoor season last year as a sophomore.
The sprinter also took the Big 12 title in the event with an indoor school record of 50.88, breaking the indoor school record for the seventh time. Joseph was just one of five women in the nation to break 51 seconds this season.
The one and only.

Joseph also holds the outdoor 400m school record, one that she has broken five times, the outdoor 200m, and is a part of the indoor and outdoor 4x400m school record teams. Every one of the top 10 times in the 400m through indoor and outdoor Iowa State history have been set by Joseph, with three set this season.
Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches following the conclusion of the 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships. Regional winners will now move on to the USTFCCCA National Awards ballot.
