AMES, Iowa -Â The Cyclones trek east to Lexington to compete in their first Cullan Brown Collegiate. Iowa State looks to get hot after a Top 10 finish in the 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational last time out.

COURSE INFORMATION
Lexington Country Club features an 18-hole, par-72 layout ranging from approximately 6,004 to 7,103 yards. Surrounded by Kentucky's scenic Bluegrass landscape, the course features tree-lined fairways, rolling terrain, and strategically placed greens that blend natural beauty with classic course design.
KEY STORYLINES
- The Cyclones carded their first Top 10 finish of the 2026-27 season at the Gopher Invitational, placing 10th last weekend.
- Senior Owen Sawyer placed in the Top 25 for the first time this season, the 13th time he has done so in his career. He tied for fourth in the field on Par 3's with a 2.92 average. He also tied for 12th with nine birdies over 54 holes.
- Jackson McCommon improved on a solid first tournament, tying for 30th last weekeend. He tied for the best Par 3 average in the field with a 2.83.
- Senior Dianchao Wu has put together the second-best back-to-back tournament scoring stretch of his career (209, 223). He also was Top 20 in the field in birdies, carding eight over the weekend, tying for 19th.
- Drew Hensen settled in last weekend, tying his season-best round (72) in the second round, followed by a 73 (+2) in the final round en route to tying for 56th.
- Sophomore Jesse Trembath made his season debut with a respectable finish in 50th. He shot a 73 (+2) in the first two rounds to put him tied for 27th after the first day.
- Freshman Ben Wheeler tied for 71st in his second career tournament.
