AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team heads to the southwest desert this weekend to take on two top 40 opponents in No. 39 Arizona and No. 16 Arizona State. After the matches, six of the last seven opponents will have been inside the top 50 of the ITA Rankings at the time of the match.

THE SERIES
Friday will be just the third matchup between the Iowa State and Arizona, with the series split at 1-1, and the Cyclones taking the 2025 match, 4-3.
Sunday will be the seventh all-time meeting between the Cyclones and Sun Devils, with ASU taking the previous six matchups in the series.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State took No. 40 Houston to the wire on Sunday, winning the doubles point and getting out to a 3-2 lead. But the Cyclones couldn't close the job and ultimately fell by a score of 4-3.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Ashlee Narker picked up her first dual singles win since 2024 against Houston on Sunday, after a knee injury kept her out of the entire 2025 spring season. Narker knocked off Chems Doha Zeghlouli at the two spot, 6-3, 6-4, and will hope to build on the momentum heading forward.
