AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Women's Golf senior Pammy Chookaew has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District First Team for the second-straight season.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the course and in the classroom. Student-athletes must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and the proper athletic accomplishments to make the ballot. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 7.
Chookaew was named an All-American earlier this spring by the WGCA, as she looks to become the first women's golfer to earn CSC Academic All-American honors in program history.
Chookaew turned in one of the best seasons in program history, as her71.53 stroke average was the second-best in program history. Chookaew has the fourth-best career scoring average at 72.85, while her 135 career rounds played are the sixth-most in program history. She finished her career with a pair of victories, tied for the fourth-most in school history.
