CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Iowa State senior Pammy Chookaew and sophomore Nichakorn Pinprayoon honorable mention All-Americans. The pair are the fourth and fifth All-Americans in program history, while it marks the first time a pair of teammates have earned the honor in the same season.
Senior Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn was the last Cyclone to earn the honor in 2023, joining Taglao Jeeravivitaporn in 2022. Barb Thomas earned AIAW All-American honors in 1980.
Chookaew and Pinprayoon turned in two of the best seasons in program history, as Chookaew had a 71.53 stroke average and Pinprayoon coming in at 71.60. They rank as the second and third best single-season scoring averages in school history. At 72.37, Pinprayoon currently holds the top spot for career average in school history, while Chookaew is fourth at 72.85. Chookaew's 135 career rounds played are the sixth-most in program history.
Pinprayoon's three victories in her career are tied for the second-most in program history, while Chookaew's two wins are tied for the fourth-most. Both players had five Top 5 finishes on the season. Chookaew won the Wolverine Invitational, while Pinprayoon picked up wins at the Texas Throwdown, Wyoming Cowgirl Classic and the Big 12 Championship.
