Big 12 Announces Spring Academic Honors

AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference placed 69 Iowa State student-athletes on the Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team, announced Tuesday.
Cyclones on the men's golf, women's golf, softball, women's tennis, men's track and field and women's track and field teams were honored.
McKenna Andrews (Softball), Jessie Clemons (Softball), Valeska San Martin Ramirez (Women's Tennis), Sanislava Shulzhenko (Women's Tennis), Sam Austin (Men's Track and Field), Brandon Fischer (Men's Track and Field), Justin Gleason (Men's Track and Field), Gus Langford (Men's Track and Field), Lucas Morrison (Men's Track and Field), Josie Baker (Women's Track and Field), Riley Beach (Women's Track and Field) and Ashlyn Keeney (Women's Track and Field) earned 4.00 GPAs.
Team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 GPA. Eligible student-athletes also have participated in at least 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen are not eligible.
Iowa State also had 16 recipients of the Dr. Gerald Lage Award. Recipients must be letterwinners while earning a cumulative GPA of at least 3.80. Additionally, 44 freshmen were named to the 2025-26 Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team after earning a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and participating in at least one contest.
