Earned team's Most Improved Gymnast of the Year Award...competed vault and bars at first four Iowa State meets; competed bars at all 12 meets...tied her career high on vault (9.800) at the Big 12 Championship...made her collegiate debut at Missouri, competing on both vault and bars...tallied career-high scores on both vault and bars in her home debut against No. 1 Nebraska...set new career highs on vault and bars against Iowa...scored a career-high 9.800 on bars at No. 15 Denver....scored 9.725 on vault and 9.750 on bars against SEMO...scored a career-best 9.800 vault in Iowa State's win over No. 22 Minnesota.

Competed at Apollo Gymnastics for nine years...led high school gymnastics squad to three-straight Virginia AAA (the highest level) team titles...took second in the all-around in the 2009 Virginia state championship...named the Washington Post All-Met gymnast of the year in 2009...won the Northwest Region and district all-around crowns in 2009...was a three-year letterwinner in high school...injured for the entire 2010 season and unable to compete.

Born Dec. 5, 1991 in Woodbridge, Va...daughter of Nancy and Jim McDonald...graduated from Osbourn Park High School...coached in club by Ken Anderson and in high school by Monica Brown and Mandy Teets-Seal...brother, Ryan, is a member of the University of Delaware hockey squad...also, has a younger brother named Devin...majoring in pre-journalism and mass communication.
