The Omaha, Neb., native helped pave the way for Blaise Bryant, who rushed for a then-school-record 1,516 yards in 1989, as the Cyclones finished 6-5 overall and 4-3 in the Big Eight. He was a fifth-round pick in the 1991 NFL Draft, enjoying a nine-year NFL career. Williams was the starting right guard for the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII.
