Brandon Ireland is in his second season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Iowa State football program.
Ireland spent the 2015 season as a member of Illinois’ football strength staff.
Before arriving at Illinois, Ireland served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Florida Gator football team from 2013-14. Prior to his stint at Florida, he served as an assistant to the head Olympic strength and conditioning coach of men’s and women’s track & field, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and volleyball (2012).
Ireland is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE), and by USA Weightlifting.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Ireland graduated from Frederick Douglass High School. In 2007, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise & Sport from the University of Florida. In 2011, he earned a Master of Science degree in human movement from A.T. Still University.
