Andy Lucas is in his first season as Iowa State’s director of recruiting communications.
Lucas worked at Washington State in 2025, leading the scouting efforts for high school and transfer portal recruits. Among his duties, he coordinated communication among recruits and coaches, while supporting official visit operations.
Prior to Washington State, Lucas was a part of the Wyoming football program as a player personnel and recruiting graduate assistant during the 2024 season. He worked in football video and as an academic intern, while also serving as a defensive signaler in 2023.
Lucas has also coached in high school at Brookfield East (Wis.).
Lucas, a Brookfield, Wisconsin, native, earned his bachelor's degree in secondary English education with a business minor from UW-Whitewater in 2022.
