AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team lost to Oklahoma, 0-3 Saturday afternoon in Hilton Coliseum. Cyclones' Nanette Allen (15) and Sarah Rollman (10) both notched double figure kill totals, but were unable to lead ISU to victory. Iowa State falls to 2-22 on the season and 0-15 in Big 12 action.
The Sooners were led by a 14-kill performance from Cathy Cook, which helped OU to a straight-set victory over ISU and improved their overall record to 7-15 and 2-12 in conference play.
Along with her 15 kills, Allen ended the night with a .313 hitting percentage and five digs. The redshirt junior committed only five errors in 32 total attacks. She now owns 157 kills on the season and has led the Cyclones in kills six times in 2000.
Rollman, a sophomore helped ISU's cause by adding 10 kills, a .333 hitting percentage and eight digs on the day. Her hitting percentage led the team and her eight digs tied for the team lead with Lindsey Chapman.
Chapman has started the last six matches for ISU, filling in for the injured Sara Stribe. The freshman has taken advantage of the extra playing time and had a strong showing this afternoon, notching a season high 32 assists. Her previous best had been a 30-assist night in the first matchup of the season against the Sooners. The Champlin, Minn. native nows owns 191 assists this season.
Iowa State will travel to Boulder, Colo., on Wednesday to face the Buffaloes. First serve for the ISU-CU matchup will be at 7 p.m. in the Coors Events Center.
