AMES, Iowa - Iowa State's Mandi Harms collected her first double double of the 2001 season in a 0-3 loss at Missouri, Monday night in the Hearnes Center. Harms collected 11 kills and 12 digs, but couldn't help ISU pull out a victory as the team falls to 3-9 overall and to 0-7 in Big 12 action. Missouri's Lisa Morris drilled a match-high 17 kills to help the Tigers improve to 12-4 on the year and even their conference mark at 4-4.
Missouri's offense controlled the match, finishing the night hitting a solid .433 from the floor. They committed just eight hitting errors on 97 attacks, while registering 50 kills. The Cyclones were held to a .130 clip from the floor, while collecting 31 kills.
ISU setter Sara Stribe finished the contest with four kills, 26 assists, two aces and four digs. The 26 assists give the junior 402 on the year and moves her career total to 1,428. True freshman Brittany Dalager helped the Cyclones cause contributing seven kills and eight digs on the night. Dalager committed just one hitting error on 24 attacks for a hitting percentage of .250.
ISU fell behind early as the Tigers claimed a 30-11 game one victory. The Tigers committed just one hitting error on 31 attacks for a .581 hitting percentage in the opening stanza. ISU rebounded offensively in game two, collecting 15 kills, while hitting .231 from the floor, but the Tigers offense continued to hit on all cylinders as the team drilled 19 kills on 41 attacks and committed just four hitting errors.
Missouri carried over the momentum they gain in the previous two games to secure game three, 30-21. ISU was limited to nine kills, while MU notched 12 on 25 attacks.
The Cyclones have one day off before they host Kansas State, Wednesday night in Hilton Coliseum. First serve for the match, which will be the four match in eight days for ISU, will be at 7 p.m.
