Throughout the opening weeks of the 2002 Iowa State soccer season, ISU players will share their experiences as they prepare for the challenges of Big 12 soccer. The inaugural entry is a collection of thoughts from each classs.
Seniors (Tiffany Belz, Megan DiGiacomo, Lindsey Lees, Lauren Sims)
"We have now begun our last preseason at Iowa State. This season has started off on a real positive note with a new coaching staff and new players. We are very excited about the potential of this season and hope to make this year the best yet."
Juniors (Beth Chapman, Arlene Samuel)
"It is good to be back with the girls again. We have a lot of new faces that will help our team to achieve new goals. It will be exciting to see how our first game will go."
Sophomores (Kelly Burke, Nikki Gamble, Karen Hasselman, Amy Kovarik, Sarah Kovarik, Laura Schweer, Erin Weldon)
"Now that we are more experienced, we hope to help lead the program while setting a positive example for the freshmen. The energy is high and we look forward to working with the new coaches."

"The nerves are starting to go away, and every day we feel more comfortable. The veterans have made our transition a lot easier. The food is all right, the dorms are nice and the athletic trainers are great!"
