Chapman was named to the all-state soccer team both her junior and senior years at Brentwood High. She was a three-time all-Mid State team selection and a three-time member of the all-district tournament team. As a freshman, Chapman was named her team’s rookie of the year. In 1997, Brentwood was crowned the state soccer champion, while Chapman was tabbed the team’s best defensive player. She broke the school record for shutouts in a season (13) in 1998 en route to a state runner-up finish. She closed out her high school career as the team’s MVP and the district’s defensive MVP, setting the school record for career shutouts (43). Chapman was a member of Tennessee’s Olympic Development Program from 1996-99. She played for the two-time State Cup finalist Brentwood Arsenal, where she earned the 1999 Player Excellence Award. A National Honor Society member who graduated in the top five percent of her class, Chapman was recognized on the honor roll and with the TSSAA Distinguished Scholastic Achievement award.

Born Jan. 30, 1982, Chapman is the daughter of Thomas and Janet Chapman. She is a liberal arts major.
