AMES, Iowa ? Sophomore Ashlie McWee had 11 kills and hit a career-high .647 from the floor and junior Brittany Dalager had 14 digs to lead Iowa State to a 3-0 win over Drake, Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum. With the win,
ISU's Renae Pruess drilled eight kills and senior Dana Koziol had 12 digs to help the Cyclone cause on the evening. Senior Michelle Gannon had five kills and five block assists on the night, both career highs. Freshman Nicole Lorenzen added six kills and two digs.
“We had a lot of people play tonight, a lot of different people and they stepped up and did a very nice job,” head coach Linda Crum said. “Michelle (Gannon) came in and did very well for us up front. Katy (Amundson) came in and had a solid match for us as well as Christine (Smeele). They've worked very hard and did a nice job for us tonight.”
