Cross Country Competes at Drake

Iowa State freshman Kelsey Bulat won the women's 4,000-meter run with a time of 14:21 in her first race as an ISU Cyclone at the Bulldog Classic.
Coming across the finish line second for the women's team was Dawn Caffrey in sixth place with a time of 15:11. There was no team scoring for the women's division.
Finishing first for the Cyclones on the men's side of competition was senior David Rotich clocking a time of 12:07 on the 4,000-meter course. Running unattached for ISU was sophomore Kiel Uhl, the 2006 USA Junior National Cross Country Champion. Uhl finished third behind Rotich with a time of 12:09. There was also no team scoring for the men's division.
The men's and women's cross country teams will be in action once again on Sat, Sept. 10 at the ISU Open. Check out www.cyclones.com for more information on the ISU Open.
