Senior hurdler Rebecca Williams looks to qualify for her third NCAA Championship appearance. Williams' first-place effort of 8.47 at the ISU Holiday Preview fell just four-hundredths of a second short of the provisional qualifying cut. The
Sara Boisen, a 2006 standout, will compete in the 800-meter run on Saturday. The senior finished second in the event at last years meet with a time of 2:11.72. Boisen's best time came last season at the Adidas Classic where her run of 2:10.05 gave her a second-place finish. Boisen will also be competing on Friday in the 4x300-meter relay along with teammates Rebecca Williams, Leia Jackson and freshman newcomer Lashawn Wright who finished first in the 300-meter dash at the Holiday Preview.
Jumpers Leigh Wagner and Agata Kosuda look to continue dominance in their field events. Both athletes already hold places in the Cyclone record books. Wagner currently holds the third highest jump in ISU history with a leap of 5-8 ?. Kosuda owns the schools triple jump record leaping 44-11.5 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in 2005.
