The loss broke a 10-game winning streak for the Cyclones, dropping
ISU cut a nine-point Missouri lead to four, 31-27, at halftime and the Cyclones continued to chip away at the lead in the second half, tying the game at 37-all on a pair of free throws by Toccara Ross with 16:33 remaining. Freshman Alison Lacey drilled a three with 11:51 on the clock to take the Cyclone's first lead of the game 44-43, before MU answered with a trey. But Nicky Wieben got a layup and Heather Ezell knocked one down from beyond the arc to lead 49-46 with 9:05 left.
The Cyclones held the lead over the next three minutes before MU's Alyssa Hollins hit a trey with 5:55 left, igniting the Tigers offense to an 11-0 run to put them up by nine, 62-53, and Iowa State never got any closer than six points the rest of the way.
Wieben had 14 point and six rebounds to lead
“When you play on the road in the Big 12 or anywhere, all you want is a chance and we had a four-point lead with seven minutes left in the game and from there on out it was a disaster,” head coach Bill Fennelly said.
The Cyclones remain on the road for their next contest, traveling to
