Erin Boeve had 14 kills while Jen Malcom and Lauren Cummings had 12 and 10, respectively, to join Henson in double-digits. Boeve finished with her second triple-double of the season recording 10 digs and 10 total blocks in the loss.
The Cyclones (15-12, 9-8 Big 12) out blocked the Tigers (16-10, 9-8), 17.5 to nine, but were out dug, 81-75, for the second straight match.
Yang was joined in double-digits by Amanda Hantouli (14 kills) and Weiwan Wang and Megan Wilson, who chipped in 13 each for the Tigers. Tatum Ailes had 29 digs to pace the Tigers defensively.
The Tigers rallied back from a 26-23 deficit to grab a 30-28 first game win. After
Henson paced the Cyclones with six first game kills while Ailes had 13 first game digs to lead Mizzou.
The Cyclones got back into the match with a 30-24 third game victory that was keyed by four service aces. ISU trailed 15-13 but a timeout propelled it on a 5-0 run that included a pair of aces from Manns and a couple kills from Boeve. The Cyclones, who never trailed from that point on, still struggled offensively, hitting just .111 but turned it up on defense, holding the Tigers to a .093 hitting percentage to close to within 2-1.
